Paris Set to be Car Heaven

Paris is set to encourage more city traffic congestion with its tender for "autolib", electric car hire in the city. (Cell of the century for self-serve electric cars).
Even Green party councillors in Paris are skeptical, warning that,

encouraging the public to use any type of car instead of giving incentives to stick to bikes and public transport was a bad move.

The electric hire car stations will be recharging stops around the city, which in France is a very great environmental concern because France relies heavily on non-renewable energy sources. More than 75% of all French electricity comes from nuclear power stations, the "cleaner", "greener", potentially lethal, energy alternative.
